- 750mL Tempranillo cask wine
- 1 cup grapefruit juice
- Juice from 2 limes
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 oranges (washed and thinly sliced)
- Cinnamon stick for garnish
Pour grapefruit juice into a jug, add sugar and stir.
Squeeze the juice from 2 limes into the jug and then port the wine over.
Stir and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. The grapefruit juice adds another dimension with its slightly bitter note that actually works surprisingly well with the Tempranillo red wine.
This Sangria is delicious served over ice.
If available use cinnamon sticks to stir – leave in jug to add flavour.
